The Rebirth Portal of the Spring Equinox
As the wheel turns and the Earth stirs beneath our feet, the Spring Equinox arrives like a breath of ancient remembrance. Equal light, equal dark. A sacred pause. A threshold.
This is the womb of balance, where seeds long buried begin to stir. Life unfurls once more, not with haste, but with reverence. Can you feel it in your blood, in your bones, in your breath?
The womb too responds. She is a mirror of the seasons, a vessel of cycles, a keeper of rhythm. And at this cusp of Equinox, she hums a song of rebirth, renewal, and quiet uprising.
Within the sacred waters of the womb lies a portal. Not just of life, but of becoming.
And now, as petals open and sunlight lengthens, we are invited to return.
To remember our own budding.
To honour what we’ve shed in winter’s dark.
To reawaken the seeds of soul, silently gestating in the depths.
This is not just a season.
It is a ceremony.
A rite of return.
A reclaiming of rhythm.
A rising of the inner Shakti flame.
How will you honour the stirring within you?
What is ready to bloom through your womb?
What ancient thread is asking to be woven anew?
Womb Ritual: Breath of Shakti and the Seed Blessing
As you arrive into this threshold of balance, let this be your sacred moment of tending to the womb within — the portal of your rebirth, your becoming, your remembering.
Prepare your space gently.
Light a candle.
Gather a small bowl of spring water, a seed (any kind — sunflower, calendula, wildflower, or even a lentil), and if you wish, a piece of cloth to sit or lie upon.
1. Breath of Shakti – Awakening the Womb Flame
Sit or lie down in a comfortable position. Place one hand over your heart, one over your womb.
Close your eyes and begin to breathe slowly and deeply.
Inhale through the nose — feel the breath descending down into the womb, like a soft tide kissing the shore.
Exhale through the mouth — a full, audible release, like wind through branches, clearing old air.
Continue this rhythm.
Inhale — nourishment
Exhale — surrender
Let your breath carry you into your womb space.
Let her speak. Let her pulse. Let her be felt.
You might begin to feel a subtle warmth awaken — this is the inner fire of Shakti, the sacred feminine life force reanimating within you.
Breathe for several minutes, until you feel deeply rooted and open.
2. Seed Blessing – Planting Intentions in the Womb
Hold the seed in your palm.
Whisper into it your intention for this new season. Speak to the soul-seed you are ready to tend, to grow, to bring into form.
What do you wish to embody?
What is quietly asking to bloom through you?
Place the seed into the bowl of water, blessing it with your breath and words.
You may later plant it into the Earth, as a living prayer. Or place it on your altar as a symbol of your womb’s sacred becoming.
3. Closing
Gently bring your hands back to your heart and womb.
Offer gratitude to your body, your breath, and the Earth.
Repeat inwardly:
I am the keeper of my rhythm.
My womb is a portal of rebirth.
I rise with the song of the seasons.
Blow out the candle, and let the glow remain within you.
